| Camino de Santiago |
 |
The 26 days I spent walking the 800 kilometers of the Camino de Santiago (mid-May to mid-June 2006) is certainly one of the best month-long periods of my life. No kidding. The people you meet, the places you see and the spirituality of walking every day for a month is an experience that you cannot replicate in your daily life. There are surely other ways to get there (there being this sort of Camino de Santiago induced nirvana), but this is the one I’ve tried and I can vouch for it. Ample literature is easily findable both online and in books and if you have even once vaguely thought of doing part or all of the Camino I suggest you give it another think and find time to do it. Maybe one day people will also say the same thing about the Via Francigena. |
