2 May 2009, Artena – Just a quick note…some technical issues were making it impossible to post, but I think that is taken care of. We left Rome yesterday and after a wonderful day walking on the Old Appian Way, we slept in a small town called Marino. Today we spent a lot of time lost in a forest, but we managed to find our way out and onto a busy road that brought us to Artena.

More coming, including my incredible adventure to try and find a hotel room in Artena with a toilet seat. Spoiler alert…I didn’t manage.
